You are worthy.

Ever since I was a little girl I remember having feelings of never being good enough. I would talk myself out of trying new things because I decided I didn't deserve it. How I created this negative mind-set I have no idea. All I know is I got out of it by deciding every single day to do the right thing for me, which is not always necessarily the easiest thing. For example I would procrastinate working out, the night before I'd tell myself that I'd get a work out in first thing in the morning. Then I'd wake up and say i'm too tired i'll do it on my lunch break, then i'd be too busy at work and I'd say i'll workout tonight... as you can see how I'd go over and over again justify not keeping my commitments to myself. By continuing this cycle of not keeping commitments to myself, it never made me feel better. So why did I keep doing it?! I had no one else to hold me accountable for my actions, no one was following up an asking did you complete your minimum of 3 workouts this week?

I needed some to hold me accountable until I created my own healthier habits. So in this case I am fortunate enough that my employer provides a gym pass to all employees so I was able to work out on my lunch break. This was the first game changer. There was no excuse for me to miss a workout since I was literally a 2 minute walk form a gym. I could at least go for a 20 minute walk on a treadmill every lunch break as a bare minimum. For a while this worked and then I got back to old habits and stopped going as consistently. The biggest change that happened when myself and a few co-workers we decided to make a commitment to 3 days a week of working out. We hold each other accountable and make sure that when the other doesn't want to go that we peer pressure them into it, of course in the most loving way possible. Here is the thing you feel so much better after getting your body moving. By focusing on the outcome and feeling the long term effect from the workout is a fantastic way to get your butt in gear and get moving. Sometimes it is just best to not think and just do! Star doing the things today that your future self wants you to do.

As we grow up we sometimes forget to have fun and laugh. We get caught up on being "professional", "grownup", "mature" or whatever word you choose to use. I say BOOO to all of that nonsense! Been the
